Science Club 5K Space Race and Moon Walk

The Lisbon High School Science Club held a 5K race Saturday, November 16th as a fundraiser. The date, November 16th, was chosen because the comet ISON was visible that day.  Mrs. McCullough invited her Astronomy Club to come to the event and set up telescopes to view the comet ISON. The comet viewing started at 5:30am and the race started at 8:00am. The race had over 30 runners, with Scott Yakubek leading the race with a time of 18:09. The race was divided into 5 divisions based on age and gender. There was also a male and female walker division.  The Space Race and Moon Walk was a big success and the Science Club plans on hosting the race again next year.
