2020 Graduation Ceremony

2020 Graduation Ceremony

As everyone knows the past few months have not been easy or normal. The whole world has been trying to adjust the best they can. Graduation has been one of the many things affected by the pandemic and there has been a lot of questions about how it will take place. This year it obviously won’t be the same as usual but we’ve improvised. Our hearts go out to all the seniors and we’re determined to give them a memorable experience.

On Sunday May 24th, the original graduation date, we will be honoring the class of 2020 individually. Each senior along with five family members will be able to enter the building and be recognized for their accomplishments. They are to wear their cap and gowns and will be given the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive their diploma. The student will also have their picture taken by Magic Moments. Everyone has their own time slot that you can sign up for between May 18th and 22nd. When your time is up, the family will immediately exit the building and the next family will enter.

The entire ceremony will be videotaped, along with speeches and everything else that are a part of our traditional graduation. After every student gets their chance, a DVD will be edited and copied for each graduate to keep. The ceremony will also be posted on all the schools social media and school website for future viewing. We know that this is different from what’s been done in the past but the administration is doing everything they can to follow guidelines given by Governor DeWine and create a memorable keepsake at the same time.
