The Institute by Stephen King. This story is about how intruders invaded Lukes home and murdered his parents. Luke is taken and wakes up in an institute, that houses kids with special talents such as telepathy and telekinesis. Luke and the other kids are in the front half of the institute, while there are more kids in the back half of the building. The director, Mrs. Sigsby, and her staff are dedicated to extracting these talents from these kids. If you go along, you get tokens for the vending machines. If you don’t, punishment is brutal. As more and more people disappear to the back half, Luke becomes more desperate to get out and get help, but no one has ever escaped before.

This story is a thrill seeking, gut wrenching dramatic story of good vs. evil where good guys don’t always win. This book was published September 10th, 2019. I suggest this book because Stephen King is good at getting your imagination to flow and gets you thinking and wanting you to read more.
