Friday, March 15th was the first of three showings of the weekend performances of DAHS’s latest theatrical production.  The Little Mermaid is a show based on a hit Disney animated film, and on the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The cast received positive comments on the show that substantiate the claims that it was the school’s best production so far.

The show tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid, the youngest of seven daughters of the king of the sea, Triton. Ariel is obsessed with learning about life on land, and after an argument with Triton, she gives up her voice to become human in order to pursue a young prince, who is bored with his monotonous life of wealth and sophistication.

The production features talented DAHS student actors Grace Beil (Ariel), Jackson Cornwell (Prince Eric), Aaron Hinchliffe (Sebastian), Joey Ebert (King Triton), and Tara Simons (Ursula). This was an amazing show, and all staff, students, and others are highly encouraged to come back to DAHS next year for the another great school musical.
