The Lisbon baseball team is working for a season that has never been done. Logan Bell, who has committed to play D1 baseball at Akron University, is looking to bring the team a lot of wins this season. The star pitcher beat the All-Time strikeout record as a junior. He is hoping to carry over the tradition from last year as well. There are seven seniors with two returning after taking off a year. Justin Sweeney and Brice Blackburn are ready to get back in action, while Logan Bell, Josh Entrikin, Seth Donaldson, Garrett Cox, and Derrick Esarey are looking to shine off of last year

Last year was not the best year, but the team ended the season above .500. The team went 12-10 with a loss in the sectional championship. They are working to turn things around and get past that and win a district title. Senior Logan Bell said, “We just got to go out and do what we do every game. If we throw strikes, hit the ball, and play smart we will be fine. We are focusing on one game at a time.”

The boys are a very athletic team and their strengths are in pitching and hitting. They hit the ball very well and they have a huge depth of pitchers. With no JV team right now, they have 18 players for the varsity team which helps out a lot. Head coach Doug Andric said, “I am very excited for the season and am waiting to see what this team is capable of.” They will play their first game on March 25th, at home against United.
