November 11th is Veterans Day, a day that we honor the men and women of our country that have risked their lives, and who still are risking their lives for all of us. It used to be Armistice Day, to honor soldiers who served in World War I. The war ended on November 11, 1918 at 11am. We now celebrate this day with the brave men and women who are serving or have served our country.

Lisbon David Anderson will be holding a Veterans Day program in the auditorium on November 12, 2018. We will be introducing the veterans in our county, and thanking them for fighting for us. We will also be showing videos of students around the school thanking these veterans and saying what Veterans Day means to them. The program will begin at 1:15pm. The choir will perform “Arm Forces Salute” followed by a few speakers. The choir will perform “Thank You Soldiers” and then the band will play “Taps” and “God Bless the USA.”
