The Lisbon Blue Devil volleyball team got off to a decent start this year at 5-5. They went on a tear finishing the season at 13-7. They began the season at 3-2 in the EOAC (Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference) and finished at 9-6. The team being on a winning streak is exactly what they wanted going into tournament play.

The Blue Devils had competed in every game this year with the same attitude of play hard and have fun. The Lady Devils graduate four seniors that include Hailee Carpenter, Karsyn Faulk, Natalie Ammon, and Chloe Smith. Hailee Carpenter thinks the team has good chemistry. She said “We are a very close group of seniors and we have fun being around each other.”

The Lady Devils played at Columbiana on Thursday, October 18th against St. Thomas Aquinas. The Knights come into the matchup with a record very similar to Lisbon’s record. The Blue Devils lost that game 3-1, ending their season. The team played hard until the last point was scored. Although they came up short, they were still very happy with their performance for the year.
