Karlee Pezzano – Record Breaker


During the 2016-17 basketball season, senior Karlee Pezzano broke multiple school records. She played a total of 25 games for her season records and a total of 95 games for her career records. She broke 1,000 career points this season and at the end of her career she totaled 1,271 points. That number is the largest of any girl in Lisbon history and is just one of twelve records that she now holds.

She also holds records during her career for most field goals attempted (1105) and field goals made (455). During her senior year, Pezzano broke the record for FGM and FGA with 108/155. She made a total of 296 free throws in her career to break the school record. Karlee tallied up 306 steals (14 in a single game and 155 for the season) and 365 turnovers over the course of 95 games. She started every game since her freshman year, and broke the record with 95 games started. Pezzano scored in double figures for 29 consecutive games.

Along with all these records, she also received plenty of awards. She was named to 1st Team ITCL White Division, 1st Team Columbiana County, Columbiana County Player of the Year and 1st Team NE Inland District. Pezzano was also selected to 3rd Team All State. She was invited to play in the Al Beach Classic All-Star Game and Ohio North South All-Star Game. Karlee will be remembered for all of her achievements for a long time to come.
