Lisbon Baseball Team

The Blue Devils baseball team returns this season with plenty of experience and talent. There are six returning starters including: Noah Barnes (senior), Colin Sweeney (senior), David Toot (senior), Marcus Nenichka (senior), Bailey McCullough (senior), Logan Bell (sophomore), and Cameron Summers (junior). They are coached by Doug Andric. The Devils plan to come back strong this year and give themselves another chance at sectional champs. Coming up for their first varsity experience and having a big role are sophomores Justin Sweeney and Seth Donaldson, junior Mason Rance and seniors Devin Johnson and Michael French.

Leading Lisbon offensively last season were senior Colin Sweeney, junior Cameron Summers, and sophomore Logan Bell. Leading the team defensively were seniors David Toot and Colin Sweeney and junior Cameron Summers. Lisbon is also hopeful that their experience with their returning pitchers will help accomplish their goals for this season.

The Blue Devils have a tough schedule compared to the past couple of seasons. A team that the Devils always has their eye on is rival Columbiana Clippers. Lisbon also has a few games outside of league play that they feel will get them ready for the playoffs and make a run for sectional champs. The key games for this season include Columbiana and Southern in league play, and South Range, Springfield, Crestview, McDonald and Western Reserve in non-league games. Good luck to the team for a successful season!
