Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a public holiday held on November 11th, which is the anniversary of the end of World War I. The day is to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It is a day for us to recognize and honor our own local veterans in the Lisbon Community.

We will be hosting a Veterans Day assembly on the afternoon of November 11th in the high school auditorium. The program will begin with Mr. Edenfield giving the introduction, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the choir singing “The Stars Spangled Banner.” Mr. Zeck will introduce each veteran on the stage and then several videos will be presented to the audience. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the veterans will parade out as “God Bless America” is song.

The assembly is a tribute to our local veterans and veterans throughout our country.
