Lisbon Boy’s Basketball

The Lisbon Boys’ Basketball team is 10-5 overall and 7-2 in the league. They are averaging 64.3 points a game as a team and three of their starters are averaging in double digits points per game. Austin Rutecki leads the way with 19.7 points per game. Josh Liberati is averaging 13.3 points per game, while Josh Craig is scoring 13.1 points per game. They are all big contributors to the outcome of the game. All of the starting line-up is six foot or taller; their height is an advantage and helps them get plenty of rebounds.

The Devils have had some very exciting games this year. They played East Palestine and ended up going into overtime, but luckily they finished strong and got an exciting win. Another good game was against Columbiana; it was close the whole game and the score kept going back and forth, but the boys pulled out a win with a score of 70-68. The boys are fun to watch. This year, the student section has been big and so excited! They have six games left in the regular season, and then they go on to tournaments at Salem High School. You can visit the class website to get their schedule and help cheer them on to a victory.
