DAHS Thanksgiving Traditions

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. We decided to ask our 7th graders about their favorite Thanksgiving traditions that include travel, the feast, parades, football games, and more. Here are a few of their  highlights:

The best Thanksgiving tradition that I have is visiting with family I don’t see every day.” –Jaden Harmon

The best Thanksgiving tradition that I have is my whole family gets together, we eat, play games, break the wishbone together, and say what we are thankful for.” –Makenna Swanson

The best Thanksgiving tradition that I have is skipping rocks and eating food on my mom’s side of the family.” –Daniel Fox

The best tradition that I have is that after the parade in the morning, my sister, mom and I hand make the food for the dinner.” –Lillian Downard

The best Thanksgiving tradition is when my family plays football against another family while my little sister is the scoreboard.” –Gaige Rohm

My best Thanksgiving is riding my four wheeler with my mom and dad after we eat.” –Jeremy Bricker

We watch football, but my favorite part of thanksgiving is the 10 tons of food I eat.” –Galen Damron

For Thanksgiving, first we make a lot of food! Then we say a blessing, and everyone in our family comes over to watch football. We play football outside too.” –Michael Davis

My favorite thing that we do on thanksgiving is we drive to Alabama to visit our grandparents and have Thanksgiving dinner with them.” –Payten Densmore

The best Thanksgiving tradition that I have is watching the Macy’s parade. Then we eat, and then we sleep.” –Kaden Crawford

The best Thanksgiving I have had is going to Disney world.” –Joey Gilbert

Mine would be when I go outside and play basketball, bean bag toss, and then we eat.” –Austin Whitacre

The best Thanksgiving tradition would be going to see my dad in Florida, and eating Mexican food.” –Isabell Perez

We go to my step aunt’s house and have a big feast. We also watch a family movie.” –Devin Lopez

My best Thanksgiving tradition is when all the kids have to follow turkey footprints to find their baskets.” –Alivia Leyman

My favorite Thanksgiving is when my family says their favorite thing around the table.” –Tyler Toot

My family eats dinner and we catch up with our cousins.” –Tea Peppel

My family eats pie and watches a movie after dinner.” –Mychal Waugh

A lot of my relatives come to my house and we eat dinner and watch football.” –Mindy McGuire

I play on the trampoline, play Xbox with my brother, and eat with my family on Thanksgiving.” –Zane Tray
