Lisbon Blue Pride Marching Band

Lisbon Blue Pride Marching Band

The Lisbon Blue Pride Marching Band doubled in size from last year to this year. Last year, the band had approximately 25-30 members, but this year we have increased to 40-50 people. The band is directed by Aimee Little and the flag line is directed by Anna Dunn.

Last year, we had a Rock n’ Roll show including songs like, Rock You Like a Hurricane, I Love Rock n’ Roll, Carry on My Wayward Son, We Got the Beat, Mickey, and We’re Not Gonna Take It. This year we have a Contemporary/Rock show including current favorites such as, Firework, Wake Me Up, Bad Medicine, Any Way You Want it, Counting Stars, and Raise Your Glass.

Younger band students are not allowed to march until they are in 8th grade. Last year we had more upper-classmen than lower-classmen, so when the upper-classmen graduated and the new eighth graders joined, we became a younger band. There are 4 seniors this year, compared to last year’s 6.  In addition, the flag line also gained 3 new members this year.

The Blue Pride marching band has had many great opportunities this year! We had the opportunity to perform in the Beaver Local band show and the Crestview band show, and we performed the Star Spangled Banner in the town square. We may have a small band, but they sure know how to play!
