The eight grade students are the leaders of the junior high this year, and we wanted to know what their last summer as a junior high student was like. Mrs. Crawford’s class told us the “highlights” or most memorable moments of their summers. Here is what they said:

The highlight of my summer was my birthday because I came home from Canada and got to see my best friends again.” – Kennedy Kessler

Me, my sisters, and Alexa Wilkes chased down an ice cream truck a mile away in my sister’s car so that Alexa’s cousins could get ice cream.” – Janielle Rauch

“My best memory of summer was when my parents took us out tubing.” – Bergen Weyand

This summer I did Kidz Camp 2014, which is a theatre camp in July.” – Madeleine Shreffler

“Jumping my BMX Bikes was my whole summer.” – Domanic Bosley

“The highlight of my summer was a cruise to the Bahamas.” – Steven Randolph

“Traveling around the state from softball tournament to softball tournament was my favorite summer memory.” – Autumn Oehlstrom

“The best thing about my summer was hanging out with my friends all day and going to football.”  –Justin Sweeney

“The highlight of my summer was waking up at 5:30 in the morning to swim for 3 hours.” – Thomas Bleakney

The highlight of my summer was reading, band camp, and going to an overnight camp” – Kyleen Culler

“The highlight of my summer was going to the beach in the Outer Banks.” – Sean Preston

“The highlight of my summer was going to Florida with my aunt.” – Cody Rose

“The highlight of my summer was participating with the high school football team.” – Logan Bell

“The highlight of my summer was going on different vacations and hanging out with friends!” – Jayda McCormick

“The highlight of my summer was when I won the navy seal obstacle course at the Lisbon pool.”  – Ashton Wright

“The highlight of my summer was when we went camping, I had my birthday, I earned my Facebook page, and then I got $130.90 in cards.” – Colby Baker

“I went to Chesapeake Bay for a week.” – Tanner Achberger

“I went to Orlando, Florida for a week.” – Seth Donaldson

The 8th graders all seemed to enjoy their summer. We hope their school year is just as memorable.
